our culture
Our culture is made up of four elements:
our vision
Our vision is the heartbeat of our church, from which life flows to every part of the body.
We exist to cultivate the revivalist in you!
our values
Our values describe how revivalists act at their best. We got our values by asking the Lord “what do revivalist’s look like?
-
WE LIVE WHAT WE BELIEVE
Our beliefs are revealed in how we live. We want to be believers who actually believe and grow in the truth, come to love it, deeply enjoy its value to save and transform, and ultimately, radically live it.
-
FOCUSED ON THE PRESENCE
“You can have anything you want, but you can’t have everything you want.” Revivalists have a “yes” in their spirit so strong they can say “no” to distraction and compromise. We focus on God while we minister and attempt to say what He is saying and do what He is doing.
-
FULLY KNOWN = FULLY LOVED
You can’t be fully loved until you're fully known. We create an atmosphere for people to be open and honest by leading in vulnerability and transparency. We build trust, character, and relationships of tomorrow by practicing courageous vulnerability and brave communication.
-
WILLING TO PAY ANY PRICE
Being a revivalist is more than a Sunday affair. Rather, it’s a 24/7 lifestyle that will cost you more than just time and money. We cheerfully go beyond the “bare minimum” and generously say YES to God with our time and resources.
-
THE YELLOW-BRICK-ROAD TO LIFE
Honor recognizes and affirms how valuable and powerful other people are because they are made in His image. Every person was made, and every person carries a revelation of who He is. We celebrate a person for who they are without stumbling over who they are not.
-
ENGAGED WITH OUR WHOLE SELF
Our mind, emotions, bodies, and spirit are all directed at the “thing” that has captured us: God’s Presence! As we love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, we tap into His passion for His Church, the lost, and ourselves.
-
PURE HEARTS, CLEAN HANDS
Sin hurts you, other people, and God. The Lord gives us grace to walk in purity. Living in purity is life giving! We never take vacations from our character or the core values of scripture. Grace gives us the power to change and stay changed! Purity is not just abstaining from sin, but truly desiring to be like Jesus - to be HOLY!
-
BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US
We love because He first loved us. Everything we do is FROM LOVE not FOR LOVE. We don’t give to get or earn the love of God. Jesus died so that He might have relationship with us; don’t let go of this in the swirl of revivalist activity!
-
OUR ONLY RESPONSE
The only reasonable response to the love of God is our daily submission to the transformative work of the cross. Because we carry the Kingdom, we carry the righteousness, peace and joy of the Lord wherever we go, and the presence of God changes us and the lives of those around us.
-
OUR ABSOLUTE BEST
We do our absolute best in everything we do with what we have! We honor God with our skills, resources, and strategies. We believe in the marriage of the oil (God’s Presence) and excellence in systems & processes.
our distinctives
Our distinctives describe who we are and why God called us to start Cultivate Church.
-
We are not build around any person or ministry. We are built around the presence of God. We consistently ask God for His mind and His heart for His house.
Exodus 33:13-18, Psalm 105:4, 1 Samuel 2:35
-
Christ’s mandate to us is that we make disciples of nations. The Church is the “pillar of truth” to society. We speak the truth to culture, take Kingdom minded political action, and seek to reform institutions with the righteousness, peace, and joy of the Lord.
Matthew 28:16-20, 1 Timothy 3:15
-
We endorse and promote women in ministry. We empower women to fulfill the call of God on their lives.
Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:17, Acts 18:26
-
We celebrate and embrace the Jewish culture and the God of Israel.
Romans 1:16, Psalm 122:6
our leadership standards
Our leadership standards are the expectations we hold for those we empower. We empower with our heart, and your mind.
-
There is only one way to God, and it’s through Jesus - but in Jesus, there are many ways to connect with God. We disciple people by helping them discover how they best connect with God and by teaching them to access the presence of God on a daily basis.
Matthew 6:7-15, Proverbs 8:34, John 15:4, 1 Samuel 3:10
-
The favor of God is found in unity. Our desire is to be in perfect unity with the Holy Spirit, which brings us into unity with one another! We understand that unity pleases the Lord.
Psalm 133, Ephesians 4:2-6
-
We honor the Lord with the tithe. With joy, we give to God our first and our best.

Romans 14:19, James 1:19
-

Romans 15:5-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16, Hebrews 10:24-25
-
Leaders go first! We remain healthy by prioritizing daily personal encounters with God, pursuing purity, putting family first, and protecting our hearts so we can lead others in health.
Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 3:5-8
our foundational beliefs
You don’t have to believe everything we do to attend Cultivate, but you do need to take a moment and acknowledge some of the foundational beliefs we adhere to.
-
There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent - one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
-
The Bible is the inspired, only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
-
Humankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him. Yet we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death and judgment entered the world, and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.
-
The Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is God's Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God's Kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today, with the Father and the Spirit, abiding in His people. He is "true God" and "true man."
-
We are saved by God's grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.
-
The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, enables the Christian to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, is poured out on believers that they might have God's power to be His witnesses.
-
The victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy - sin, lies, sickness and torment.
-
The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His Church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God's love, discipling the nations, baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.
-
We affirm the government of God is ever-increasing. The Lord Jesus Christ is returning to rule and reign with His overcoming bride - the church.
-
There will be a resurrection of the saved and the lost, one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting death.
our cultural beliefs
The lordship of Jesus over our lives means He alone has the right to have first and final say over how we view culture. The Church is "the pillar and foundation of truth" to society (1 Tim 3:15) and we are obligated to stand for truth in a culture surrounded by lies. We engage our current culture with these truths:
